AACL 2006 Speaker

Sarah Noble Lic.Ac MBAcC MIMgt MInstD
ISPA Medical Advisory Committee, Europe.
Thai  Spa Association Board member. Chairwoman, British Complementary Medicine Association.

Having just opened award-winning spas in Qatar for Four Seasons, in Mauritius and India for the Taj group, consulted for Mandara spas and The Ritz Hotel, London she is now an independent consultant; helping clincs and spas to maximise revenue and client loyalty by working directly with spas & clinic managers and training their teams.

Sarah was previously the Group Health & Wellness Director for Chiva Som destination Spa, recently voted again: ‘Best Spa in The World’.

Initially trained as an acupuncturist (a degree level training), Sarah is also trained in massage counselling, nutrition, herbal medicine and allergy detection. With 15 years experience hands-on client care, and of managing her own large multidisciplinary clinic, she has since then been a consultant advising on treatment and training standards and management strategy for clinics and spas.

She lectures worldwide; to the spa industry, to the medical fraternity, to the hotel and spa industries at their conferences; and has frequently appeared on radio & television. A respected leader in her field, Sarah promotes the credible and professional practitioners & therapies within the spa and wellness industry.

She is a member of the Institute of Management and Institute of Directors, was on the Medical advisory board for ISPA Europe, and was Chairwoman for the Standards and Practices committee for the Thai Spa Association.

Having completed a 3 year term as Chairwoman of the British Complementary Medicine Association, (a 25,000 practitioner member organisation), with a seat on the Executive committee of the Parliamentary Advisory Group for Complementary Medicine, Sarah Noble represents the professionally trained and regulated sector of the fastest-growing range of treatments within a spa's repertoire of services.

In her spare time Sarah reads, cycles and visits spas & clinics world wide. She has cycled Lands End to John O'Groats , and climbed Ben Nevis mountain in Scotland, for charity.

2006 - Integral Spa Medicine
The practice of Integral Spa Medicine is emerging as a dynamic force which has the power to positively change the healthcare landscape. The INTEGRAL Differentiator is one which looks at all of the major dimensions of Practitioner/Patient/Client experience simultaneously and synergistically – rather than in the fragmented, segmental approaches of traditional legacy systems.  It represents the new wave of modeling for the future of medicine-through an Integral approach
Prompted by consumer/clients requests, more world wide acceptance of “complementary care”, and a changing medical paradigm, increasingly leading edge physicians and healthcare professionals all over the world are responding to this emerging dynamic, transforming their healthcare practice models in order to serve the over abundance of health and beauty conscious consumers wishing to gain access to inner and outer health and beauty enhancement services currently offered within world class medical spas and anti-ageing clinics.
At each successive stage or level of growth in an industry, there is the possibility of transcending and integrating the previous level. Participants will gain invaluable insight into world class spa and anti ageing business practices providing them an opportunity to reshape strategy for competitive advantage and growth. Healthcare businesses continue to face increasing external pressures to decide how, when and if to address the challenges and opportunities the Integral Spa Medicine business is posing as a viable form of healthcare delivery, and Anti-Ageing physicians and healthcare professionals are leading the way.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Participants will gain an understanding of Integral Spa Medicine enabling them to:

  • Enhance their ability to see the whole, the parts and self as a whole and a part deepening the physician/patient/client relationship.
  • Increase their options to communicate and act with colleagues, clients and others at multiple levels simultaneously with deeper impact.
  • Strategically plan and move significantly beyond even current attempts in the medical spa arena variously known as “cosmetic centers,” "wellness centers," and “integrative medical facilities”,  operating from a platform much wider in its reach, more grounded in empirical research, and more effectively related to comprehensive models of advanced healing of body, mind and spirit.
  • Become leaders in global healthcare transformatio
