Dr Henri Knafo MD MSc BSc

Dr. Henri Knafo is presently the Medical Director of ERFA Canada 2012 inc. the only licensed provider of natural desiccated thyroid in Canada. He has also worked with the World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine as well as the International Hormone Society. Dr Knafo was trained first as a Biologist in Montreal (Quebec) where he obtained his Master’s in Biomedical Research. He then got his MD at Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest (Hungary) prior to returning to Canada where he trained as a Neurosurgical resident. His lecture will focus on clinical endocrinology with an emphasis on bio-identical hormones, safety, efficacy and using them in a clinical setting.

Bioidentical hormonal replacement therapy (BHRT) is becoming an important component of anti-aging therapy. It is important to recognize BHRT short and long term possible side effects. In this presentation we will review the safety and efficacy of different hormones such as Estrogens, Progesterone, Testosterone, Adrenal hormones, Cortisol and Thyroid hormones. Indication and contraindication of different hormones will be reviewed and discussed.
