Ms Deborah Colson MSc
Deborah Colson MSc DipION has been specialising in nutritional support for mental health and well-being since completing her training at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London in 2002. She completed her MSc Nutritional Therapy at the University of Westminster in 2014. Deborah is a Full Member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
In addition to her clinical practice, Deborah delivers regular talks and lectures on nutrition and mental health and neurological disorders to a range of audiences including psychiatrists, GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, social workers, teachers and the general public. She is a senior member of the the academic team at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and is a visiting lecturer on mental health for the UK College for Nutrition and Health's (BCNH) Nutritional Therapy programme and the Northern College of Acupunture's MSc Nutritional Therapy programme.
Deborah has co-authored a number of books including Optimum Nutrition for Your Child and the Alzheimer's Prevention Plan and has worked with a wide-range of organisations and institutions, including special needs schools and colleges, delivering health improvement programmes . She is available for individual consultations and as a freelance consultant, speaker and writer for individuals and institutions.
Deborah regularly attends educational events, both as delegate and speaker, as part of her commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
